MLM Blogging: How YOU Can Make a Difference

This is George Fourie and welcome to another thatMLMBeat Daily Top 10 video update. This video is not going to be that much about the daily Top 10 and I’m going  to revert back to those videos quite soon (within this week, actually).

But I wanted to address something that’s mentioned in the title… MLM Blogging: How You Can Make a Difference. We put together something here with thatMLMBeat to give you traffic, publicity and recognition which is our main focus here. But I want to take it a step further and dig into the whole motivation behind doing this.

Now the part about making a difference…

We’ve been doing this contest for quite some time. We have taken a few twists and turns, have gone in few directions and two years later (and I mentioned this in my previous video), I still find myself with this very strong urge to stick to the same vision and the same idea I had with this community.

It reached to a point now where I want to step up and do something that might seem weird or a bit different to a lot of people but it’s something close to my heart and it’s something that I really want to do.

You see, the thing with putting this whole challenge together is I didn’t want to just make it about traffic. Yes, of course we all want traffic. We all want publicity. We all want recognition. And we’ve done a pretty good job with that over the years with The Top 50 MLM Blogs Contest — 3 contests, more than 14,000 votes, tons of traffic, tons of recognition. As a matter of fact, it has become the standard of writing blogs and I wanted to take that whole concept, first and foremost, into something that you can get value from on a daily basis.

This is not just a once-a-year kind of thing where you can get all the glory for being part of my blog’s Top 50. I wanted to put something together with a challenge that’s daily, something that keeps you accountable, something that gives you traffic on a day-to-day basis.

You don’t have to be blogging daily to do this but when you do, I want your posts to get that leverage, that your post just goes so much further and you get that much more traffic and more publicity.  I wanted a glue to keep this altogether.

A lot of this is automated and I don’t want to go into all the details and make it sound like a big picture. We want to automate this so you don’t have to spend hours on campaigns and promoting your blog posts. You can do what you usually do on a day-to-day basis with your blog and the plugin will take care of that for you.

We’ve done that with a point system – which is the automated part. You get points for blogging, for getting comments, for voting on others’ blogs, and when votes come in for your posts. So you just pretty much go ahead with blogging, let the plugin do its thing and you get points. That would be awesome!

Right now, there’s a handful of bloggers that are getting a lot of traffic from us and we’ve been spending time at fine-tuning this and how we can really rent this up which is going to happen in the next few weeks, especially with the Top 50 in my blogs coming on board.

The glue behind this is making a difference and putting the cause behind it. And that’s what I want to do with the points and day-to-day challenge — that everytime you create a blog post, it goes so much farther than just your traffic and publicity but more importantly, we can use it as a tool for raising funds for different charities.

That being said, we are going to start working now and do this for various charity organizations and so forth. Here’s how we’re going to do it:

We will include a donation from our very small membership fee on a month-to-month basis, use the points and try to match these points with dollars. (There’s a link in this short video below that will go through the details. Please check it out.)

So this is pretty much an invitation for you. ..

If you are out there blogging and you’d like to make a difference, do something good in this world (aside from getting traffic and publicity for what you do), and you want to help change people through the lives behind your business, then this is an opportunity for you to do so.

With a little bit of effort, something’s going to benefit you and your business. But more than that, we’re going to stand behind you, support you for your contribution in this and give you the recognition, the publicity, the traffic and then we’re going to use your points as bargaining power to raise funds for charity.

We can take this into a whole different level of turning a lot of people’s heads with what we are doing within this industry, not just from promoting business opportunities and all there is but really getting out there and making a real difference in this world.

That’s really the goal and it might sound a bit “out there” right now but it’s happening and that’s what we’re doing. So if you are out there blogging, I would like you to jump on board. All you can get from us is traffic. And if there’s anything that you don’t like or anything that you want to change, we’re going to team up developers that will be fine-tuning this and working on this day-to-day.
